Dear Lady Talking Really Loud -
Could you please keep it down. I am sitting three tables away with headphones in ...... I can still hear you crystal clearly. You are very obnoxious.
Thanks.
Coffee Shop View
Very frequently I find myself in a coffee shop exposed to other people's lives. Some are quite hilarious, while others are just dramatic. Here I share with the world my observations in the many coffee shops I visit.

RIP
Rest in Peace to a great Barista at the Starbucks I frequent most often in North Deering. He was so kind and always smiling.

10 pumps?!
October 25, 2010
Today I was sitting in Starbucks sipping my FREE (because I had bought 15 drinks on my "gold card") Venti Skinny Vanilla Latté. I had not put my headphones in yet because nothing worth writing about in this blog had happened yet. Just as I was reaching for my bag to get said headphones I heard a woman order her coffee. Normal right? Yeah not this one. This woman ordered a grande Hazelnut coffee with not 1 extra pump of Hazelnut but 6 extra pumps! Normally a barista will include 4 pumps of flavor into a grande coffee making it just sweet enough without being overly sicky sweet. With these extra 6 pumps that made this woman's grand total of pumps to be 10. I can't imagine the intensity of this coffee. To make things better the woman left the store thinking her coffee wasn't sweet enough and didn't have quite enough flavor!

Control the Kid
October 20, 2010
Today I observed one of the most spoiled children I have ever seen. The mom of the child didn't want to buy the girl a large "froofroo" drink. She offered to buy her a smaller size but the girl refused. The girl told her mother, "Mom, if you loved me you would buy the larger size. I don't understand why you can't do that for me. I deserve it." Honestly? This girl was probably 9 years old. The mom caved after her daughter kept rambling about how great she was as a daughter and how her mom was horrible for not buying her the larger size.

Not doing homework?!?!
October 10, 2010
So I am sitting in the corner minding my own business when a mother comes into Starbucks and finds her teenage daughter chatting with a boy, whom it seems she is very interested in. The mom questions the daughter about why she doesn't have any homework out. Daughter proceeds to make up some BS excuse about taking a break and this guy just happening to show up (total lie ... they showed up together). Mom gets really upset and asks for her daughters Starbucks card and tells her she is grounded. Then she leaves the store leaving the daughter there.
Does this make sense? She grounds the daughter for not doing her homework but then allows her daughter to stay and flirt with this dude. Pahlease.

Possessive Driver?

Another story for all my Tim Horton Teen Followers: Today's story takes place in Satrbucks. Boy has been borrowing gfs car and not telling her where he is actually going and who is with. Legit point. He's apparently travelling with very sketch people. Could this be the end of their relationship? We will see .... stay posted for an update.
